04-12-Writing and Publishing a Blog

You're here > 01-Table of Contents - Making Money with AdSense > 04-12-Writing and Publishing a Blog

After creating your user profile, template format and layout design using the Blogger.com dashboard, you are now ready to write your first and succeeding blog post or article.

To me, it is very easy to write a blog post.  If you know how to communicate your information (example: gossip, news, instructions, stories, experience, ideas, etc.) to any of your family members, relatives, co-workers, friends, acquaintances, and others either by face-to-face, telephone or cellular phone, texting, letter or other methods, then you can do blogging.

The only problem is when the person who wants to blog is not good in English grammar.  If there are a lot of grammatical errors, blog readers will be "turned off" and look for and read other people's blogs.  If the person is not good in word spelling, there will be no problem because all blog writing platforms have built-in spellchecker.

1.  Writing the Post Title

The post title must contain a keyword or keyword phrase for search engine optimization.  An example of a post title is:  Make Money Online with Google AdSense.  When you search some words in your post title like money, make money, google, adsense and money online using let's say, Google Keyword Tool, you will see the following results:

2.  Writing the Post Body

2.1.  When you write your blog posts, see to it that they will contain a maximum of 1,500 words so that they will look like articles in Reader's Digest.

2.  Use at least 3 keywords or phrases of keywords on the first paragraph of your post and distribute some more keywords or phrases of keywords to the rest of the post.  The keywords and phrases of keywords will contribute to high search engine rankings.

3.  Saving the Blog Post

When you are writing your post, the Blogger program automatically saves your post every 5 seconds.  You can also manually save your post by clicking on the Save button.

4.  Editing the Blog Post

After you have finished writing your post and saved it, you can retrieve the post for editing by performing the following steps:

4.1.  Go to the Blogger dashboard.
4.2.  Look for the post to be edited.
4.3.  Click on Edit to display your post on the screen.
4.4.  Start making changes on your post.
4.5.  After editing, click on the Update button to save your post.

5.  Publishing the Blog

After you have checked everything, you are ready now to publish your blog.  Follow the steps below:

5.1.  Go to the Blogger dashboard.
5.2.  Click on the blank square on the top left side of the Publish button to check all the blog posts to be published.
5.3.  Click on the Publish button.
5.4.  Click on the View Blog button.  You will see your blog live on the Internet.

I suggest that at the end of each blog, you write a message to your blog readers such as: "Thank you for visiting my blog today.  Please come back for more interesting articles".
