04-09-Creating Blog Account Settings - Others

You're here > 01-Table of Contents - Making Money with AdSense > 04-09-Creating Blog Account Settings - Others

After you have created the Account Settings - Language and Formatting page, you can go to the next step - fill out the information in the Account Settings - Others menu.

In the Account Settings - Others page, you will see the following information:

1.  Blog Tools - When the need arises, you can click on Import blog, Export blog or Delete blog.

When you click on Import blog, you can import blogs and comments in .xml format from the Blogger.com export file.  Once the blogs and comments are imported to your blog, they will be merged with your current posts and comments and sorted by date.

When you click on Export blog, you can copy your entire blog into your own computer as a backup with a file extension of .xml format or can be exported to another blog.  Your exported blog will not be deleted from the Blogger.com server or dashboard.

When you click on Delete blog, your blog will be deleted and you cannot view it anymore.  Blogger.com keeps the deleted blog for 90 days, so if you change your mind, you can import your blog from Blogger.com.  Before you delete your blog, be sure to export your blog to your computer hard drive.

2.  Site Feed

2.1.  Allow Blog Feed - You can select one from the following options:

2.1.a.  Full - If you want to have the entire contents of all your blog posts to be syndicated;

2.1.b.  Until Jump Break - If you want to show all your blog post contents before you jump break;

2.1.c.  Short - If you want to syndicate only the first 400 characters of each of your blog posts;

2.1.d.  None - If you do not want your entire blog posts to be syndicated and blog contents to be indexed by Google Blog search; and

2.1.e.  Custom - If you want your (a) Blog Posts Feed, (b) Blog Comment Feed and (c) Per-Post Comment Feed be either Full, Short or None syndicated.

2.2.  Post Feed Redirect URL - If you subscribe to a feed website (example: www.Feedburner.com) to process your blog feeds, click on Add to type the URL like www.feedburner.com.  Click on Remove to delete any URL previously entered.  Leave this space blank if there is no redirection of blog feeds.

2.3.  Post Feed Footer - Click this option if you want your ads or feed additions to appear after each post in all your blog post feeds by typing the code in the box.  Click on Remove to delete any URL previously entered.  Leave this space blank if there is no code to enter.  You have to click on Allow Blog Feeds, then Full option (see above).

3.  OpenID

3.1.  Your OpenID URL - (example: www.money1guide.blogspot.com) is automatically supplied by the program based on the Blog Title (example: money1guide) you provided when you created your Accounting Settings - Basic.

4.  Adult Content - Click on either Yes or No option.  If you click on Yes option, your blog readers will see a WARNING message and be asked to confirm that they want to proceed to read your blog.

5.  Google Analytics

5.1.  Analytics Web Property ID - Enter in the space the Google Analytics ID number that you previously created with Google.com.  If you have this feature in your blog set-up, you can see how your blog readers interact with your blog.  Then, click on Save Changes to update your blog.

Now you have already completed all the Account Settings sections.  The next action to do is to select your blog Template.
