After you have familiarized yourself with the Blogger dashboard, you can start creating your user profile. You have to type the required information, leave some of the information blank and select some of the required choices or options.
In the User Profile page, provide the necessary information on the appropriate spaces or boxes:
1. Privacy - click one or more choices: Share my profile, Show my email address, Show my blogs, Show sites I follow
2. Identity is composed of the following:
2.a. User name - your email address that you used in creating your Blogger.com account will be automatically displayed on this area
2.b. Email address - your email address that you used in creating your Blogger.com account will be automatically displayed on this area
2.c. Display name - type your chosen blog author name that will appear under each article you posted to your blog
3. Profile photo - you have the option to upload and display your picture in your blog or not
4. Audio clip - you have the option to upload from a website an audio clip in your blog or not
5. General shows the information:
5.a. Gender (click on Male, Female or Not specified)
5.b. Birthday (type in this format: mm/yr)
5.c. Homepage URL (automatically supplied by the program)
5.d. Wishlist URL (leave space blank)
5.e. IM Username (leave space blank)
6. Location
6.a. City/Town
6.b. Region/State
6.c. Country
7. Work
7.a. Occupation
7.b. Industry
8. Extended Info
8.a. Interests (about your hobbies, etc.)
8.b. Introduction (about yourself)
8.c. Favorite movies
8.d. Favorite music
8.e. Favorite books
8.f. Random question
After you have completed your user profile information, the next step is to create a blog account settings.
It is very easy to fill out the user profile and you will do it only once. However, you can make changes in your user profile anytime.
