Ad Sizes for Internet Advertising

You're here > Blogging for Money Ad Sizes for Internet Advertising

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) is the organization that developed the standard ad sizes that Internet advertisers must follow.  There are 4 basic standard ad sizes that are being implemented by all Internet advertisers, namely:

1.  Ad size of 300 x 250 - medium rectangle
2.  Ad size of 180 x 150 - rectangle
3.  Ad size of 160 x 600 - wide skyscraper
4.  Ad size of 728 x 90 - leaderboard

Below are the actual samples of each ad size.

According to Internet Advertising Bureau some variations in the ad sizes are allowed and have been standardized by IAB to some degree.  The other ad sizes, gathered from Wikipedia, are enumerated below:

Bloggers and other publishers should learn about the ad sizes for Internet advertising because if they plan to offer advertising spaces for a fee in their blogs, they can tell the advertisers the various available ad sizes.

Offering ad spaces for others to advertise in a blog is one way of making money.  Bloggers and publishers will realize 100% of the advertising income as compared with ad revenue sharing offered by third-party advertisers.

If you have a Blogger.com blog, it is very easy to create an ad space in the blog sidebar that can be offered to advertisers.  You do not have to know HTML programming;  it is only a copy and paste of codes to your blog.

If I was able to give you an idea on how to make money through direct ad space selling, please give me some comments below.  Thank you.

Someone told me that lunch buffett at the Boulder Station Hotel & Casino is inexpensive and very good.  So I went one noon and checked the food out.  There were more than 50 food items to eat that I did not remember the food name because most of them sounds French to me.  Anyway, I enjoyed the food considering the price was affordable - $7.95 plus sales tax of 8.1% or for a total of $8.59 per person.

The picture shown below is the side entrance going to the Boulder Station Hotel & Casino.  I forgot to take pictures of the yummy buffet food and the dining area.  Sorry about that, folks.

According to Wikipedia.org, Boulder Station Hotel & Casino opened on August 23, 1994 at Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, Nevada.  The casino floor area is about 75,000 square feet or 7,000 square meters.  The hotel has 300 rooms including the suites.  Near the casino floor area are 5 restaurants where customers can eat.

It's good that I do not gamble.  I just go to any Las Vegas casino to eat, watch free concerts or go to the movie theater inside the casino.

Have you been to Las Vegas?  There are a lot of things that you can do here outside of casino gambling.  Probably, you can plan a vacation here in the near future.

Thank you for seeing my picture above.

One of the places that I go to when I am doing nothing at home is the public library near my home.

I have a free library card that I use in borrowing library materials like books, DVD movies, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, cassettes and many others.

One afternoon, I took a picture of the book shelves located inside the library.  The shelves showed some books that were neatly arranged.  I want to share the photo with you, guys.

One Saturday morning, I visited a Wal-Mart Supermarket in Las Vegas.  The purpose of going to the supermarket was to:

(a) shop around for a camcorder, which I am planning to use in my future video blog (or vlog);

(b) buy some fruits, vegetables, milk, bread, canned goods and some other goodies; and

(c) eat at McDonald inside the supermarket.

Below are some pictures which I took that I would like to share with you.
